Revised Calendar:The School Board approved a revised calendar for the 2009-2010 school year. The following vacation and Staff Development Days will now be used as student days:
Friday, March 19
Thursday, April 1
Monday, April 5
Friday, April 23 (half-day for students)
Classes will be in session on the above days. Graduation will stay as scheduled on Friday, June 4 and the last day for students will be Wednesday, June 9. An alternate graduation date was set for Thursday, June 10 in the event that another cancellation is called. Click here for a complete revised 2009-2010 calendar . Additional information on the changes will be sent home with students in the near future.
School in Session - Parents and students are reminded that Friday, March 19, which had been scheduled as a Staff Development Day, is now a weather make-up day. Classes in all buildings will be in session on that day. Students will follow their regular schedule.
Announcing DYNAmail - The Allegheny Valley School District invites parents, alumni, and community members to register for DYNAmail. This new initiative allows individuals to register through the web site to receive information about the District. The information will be sent from any administrator on programs, events, and other happenings with the buildings and around the District. For additional information, please click on the DYNAmail tab on the left-hand side of the home page.
High School Musical - Springdale Jr-Sr High School will present its 2010 Spring Musical
Into the Woods on March 19 at 7:30 p.m.; March 20 at 1:30 p.m. (Children's Matinee) and 7:30 p.m.; and March 21 at 2:30 p.m. Ticket prices for regular performances: $8.00 adults, $4.00 students and Senior Citizens, and children under 3 and Senior residents with a Gold Card will be admitted free of charge. For the Children’s Matinee on March 20: $6.00 adults, $3.00 students and Senior Citizens, children under 3 and Senior Residents with a Gold Card will be admitted free of charge.
Ticket presales are scheduled on March 8-12 and March 15-17 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. in the High School's Marshall Auditorium Lobby.
Event Cancelled - Education Celebration 2010 has been cancelled. Parents are asked to remove the date from their calendars.
